The tours run rain or shine, so please dress according to the day’s forecast. Please keep in mind that most of the tour takes place on our vehicle so you will be out of the elements.Is the tour suitable for children? Do they need tickets? While children are welcome on the tour, please keep in mind that tours are 8 hours long. Parents, who know their children best, should assess whether an 8 hour tour is appropriate for their child’s attention span. Children under 5 can attend for free and there is a reduced rate for children between the ages of 5 and 12. If a child under 5 years old is attending for
free, please note that they will need to sit on your lap.Are we on the bus for the entire tour? Is there walking involved?
We do make several stops on the tour including the U.S. Capitol (Photo Stop only), Grant Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, World War II Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery (Kennedy Gravesites & Changing of the guard ceremony), Iwo Jima Memorial, White House (Photo Stop Only), Jefferson Memorial and the FDR Memorial.Do we get to go into any buildings?
We will not go into any buildings on the tour.Is the tour narrated?
Yes, the tour guide will narrate the tour and is happy to answer any of your questions about the sights we will see.Is there a restroom on the bus?
Yes, there is a restroom on the bus.Is the bus wheelchair and stroller accessible?
Yes, the coach buses are wheelchair and stroller accessible.What kind of vehicle will we be traveling in?
Grand tours take place on our approximately 80 passenger coach bus. The buses have enclosed climate-controlled upper and lower decks.Are food and beverages included on the tour? Can I bring my own?
While no food or beverages are included in the ticket price, feel free to bring your own snacks and/or drinks (no alcohol please). We will also be stopping for lunch on the tour.Is there assigned seating on the bus?
Seating is first come, first served. Please arrive early to ensure that your group can sit together.Can I leave my belongings on the bus if we get off? May I bring luggage on the bus?
Yes, but please keep in mind that we will make several stops. If you are not comfortable leaving your belongings on the bus during this time, you may want to consider taking them with you.Are cameras allowed on the tour?
Yes! There is so much to see during the tour and it would be absolutely worth it to bring a camera.How should I dress for the tour?
We recommend comfortable walking shoes and dressing appropriately for the weather as we will be getting off the bus at certain locations.Will locals enjoy the tour as well or is it mostly for tourists?

We offer 3 languages aside from English on the DC Trails app (French, Spanish and Chinese.)Is there parking available nearby?
Yes, should you choose not to get picked up, there is parking available at the standard meeting location. Exact parking suggestions will be available upon purchase of your tickets.Will we be able to purchase souvenirs or shop during the tour?
There is no shopping available on this tour.Are gratuities included?
Gratuities are not included in the ticket price. While not required, gratuities are accepted and always appreciated by the tour guides.Are dogs/pets allowed on the tour?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on the tours. Only service animals are permitted.Is smoking allowed on the tour?
Smoking is not permitted during the tour.Are gift certificates available?
